Filled with vibrant blackberry and blueberry jam aromas, the Scottsdale offers a punch of pepper, with hints of dried cherry, tart cranberry, dried herbs and sweet baking spices. Perfectly balanced, this wine showcases good body and structure with a plush finish.

Sourced from a local vineyard that Harney Lane has farmed for many years, we were lucky enough acquire Scottsdale as our own in 2014. Nicknamed the “Blueberry Vineyard” by previous winemakers, we were able to maintain the rich history and essence of the Scottsdale Vineyard in our finished product. Due to the size and age of this lot, each vintage is made in limited production quantities.
The 2017 vintage was marked by a wet winter and spring that would typically produce larger berries and a lighter style wine. We were able to adapt our farming in a way that still brought in dense flavor and color-packed fruit to fully represent what the Scottsdale Vineyard is capable of. A warm spell during the early part of harvest allowed the grapes to ripen quickly while retaining their natural acidity. Because of our winter rains and the Scottsdale’s characteristic deep sandy loam soil, the vines mined the earth profoundly, allowing us to dry farm for nearly the full season.
