This vibrant, densely colored Petite Sirah is imbued with blackberry, dark currant, cracked black pepper and anise liquor aromas. With refined tannins, sweet smoky oak, molasses and a touch of loamy earthiness, this concentrated, full-bodied wine delivers big on mouthfeel and flavor.
Double Gold, 2021 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
The 2018 vintage played out like a dream for winemakers. Moderate temps through spring and summer brought about a slightly later harvest, prolonged with cooler weather during ripening, allowing grapes to mature more slowly. This yielded wines with more depth, flavor concentration and supple texture. This Petite Sirah will continue to develop over the next decade, excellent for drinking now or anytime in the next 10 years.
