Primitivo, Lot 19
A richly colored wine with seductive aromas of black currant, cherry, plum and baking spices. This complex Primitivo showcases flavors of lush, dark fruit, subtle spiced tobacco, and hints of chocolate in its silky lingering finish.
This three vintage blend offers the concentration of the 2015, 2016 and 2017 vintages. Made in small batch lots, each was made using a “hands on” punch down technique. Natural fermentation was encouraged, enabling the true expression of the vineyard. All lots were kept separate before final blending evaluation. Wine was barrel aged for at least 20 months in a blend of new and used oak barrels. New American and French barrels were used to add even more complexity to this blend.
