This savory Tempranillo boasts aromas of sappy, fresh tobacco leaves, faded flowers, fleshy plum and fig compote. It’s full bodied, and there are hints of leather and an intriguing wet earthiness that bring about the fine grain tannins, for a tight, structured finish. Drinks well now, but given 2-3 years, the wine will continue to develop and integrate. Cellar 10-15 years.
Tempranillo is such a great wine to bring to the dinner table. It’s great a match for lamb kebabs, meaty stews, wild mushroom risotto, roasted leg of lamb, and paella dishes. It can handle the more gamey flavors, and has the flavor/tannin combination to bring out special characters of the food at hand
