The 2015 vintage was another early and concentrated vintage due to lighter rainfall, warm spring and lighter than normal crop load. This vintage was unique in that it is 100% Zinfandel. This was due to the concentration and depth of the fruit we harvested. We didn’t feel it was necessary to blend any Petite Sirah, because the wine was showed excellent color and structure on its own.
“The Harney Lane Estate Zinfandel is classic Lodi Zinfandel, at its best. This is the wine I tell people to buy when then need a perfect bottle for the party.” – Chad Joseph, Winemaker
Sourced primarily from our Estate Zinfandel Vineyard, planted to the west of our Tasting Room in 2000.
Tasting Notes: The 2015 Zinfandel is dark in color with vibrant, rich fruit supported by juicy acidity. At first taste, the Zinfandel is approachable, yet gives way to a decadent finish full of warm coffee and dark chocolate notes.
